Parent Volunteer

Meaningful parent involvement in a child’s education is crucial for his or her success, therefore every effort will be made to keep parents engaged and informed. Parent volunteering opportunities are available at NBAE and individualized to meet the needs, demands, and capabilities of the individual student/family. This volunteer plan has the intention of providing increased parent visibility in the School, which will show students that they are supported in their academic endeavors.

North Broward Academy of Excellence encourages that parents volunteer twenty hours of service to the school each academic year, if they have one student enrolled in the school, thirty hours if more than one child.  Volunteer activities will range from office clerical work to editorial and artistic services; assisting with school events; fundraising; chaperoning field trips and numerous other activities.

If you have any questions regard your volunteer hours please email Ms. Howell at dhowell@northbrowardcharter.org

School Advisory Council

The purpose of the Council is to serve in an advisory capacity, and to provide a forum to facilitate communication among the NBAE parents, teachers, North Lauderdale community, and administration, as related to school-wide issues, in an atmosphere of due process, cooperation, and trust. We value your participation.
