General
North Broward Academy of Excellence opened in the Fall of 2001, serving students in K-3. As word spread of their commitment to discipline and core academics, the student population grew and expanded. In 2005, North Broward Academy's middle school was added and now serves 6th through 8th grades.

Student Handbook - Attached you will find the Student Handbook filled with detailed information that will assist you in understanding the expectation of our students and parents at school. This handbook has been designed to help you work as partners with us in your child's education.

Uniform Policy - Uniform tops can be purchased through the school and are provided by All Uniform Wear. A current price list for items is available here. The phone number is 954-446-0077 and their Winter Hours are 10 am - 6 pm, Mon--Fri.
School Supplies - Below are lists of supplies that are required for each incoming student is attached based on the grade level. These supplies should be brought in to the homeroom teacher on the first day of school.

2011-2012 School Calendar - Important dates for the 2011-2012 academic year. This calendar may differ from Broward County Public Schools' calendar.
Breakfast and Lunch Service - January and February breakfast and lunch menus. As an approved sponsor for the National School Lunch Program, the North Broward Academy of Excellence offers highly nutritious meals following all of the rules and regulations set forth by the USDA; Meals are provided by Preferred Meal Systems, Inc.
Food Service Inspection Report - In accordance with Senate Bill 1908, the school's health certificate/inspection reports are available for review.
Wellness Policy- Renaissance Charter School, Inc and North Broward Academy of Excellence promotes health in students by supporting wellness, quality nutrition and regular physical activity as a part of the total learning environment.
Medication- The administering or dispensing of any medicines (including non-prescription over-the-counter) to students by employees of North Broward Academy of Excellence without specific written authorization by a medical doctor of the student is forbidden. If it is absolutely necessary that the child take any medication while at school, each medication must be accompanied by an Authorization for Medication Form that has been completed and signed by the child's doctor. The medication, including over the counter medication, will be kept in the main office and will be administered by certified office personnel. Before and After care services- Before and after care is available onsite during the school year on a daily or monthly basis. Walker Permission Form- All K-5 students that walk or bike ride off property from NBAE must have a completed Walker Permission Form on file with the front office. K-2nd grade students are not allowed to walk home unless accompanied by a 3rd grade or older sibling/adult.
