Home / 21st Century Learning Center Program

The goal of the Bears Den program is to provide free opportunities for our students to participate in out of school time programming that emphasize academically enriching activities that foster academic and social youth development at no additional fee. The program at NBAE will provide a focus on technology through our ISTEM component in which students will learn technology, math and science activities.

Additionally students will participate in college readiness, health and nutrition, and the literary arts. Daily snack, homework help and supplemental instruction will be offered. Activities such as robotics, computers, ethnic art, health and well-being, careers and business will be offered. Partners such as Junior Achievement, Robotics FIRST and the Young at Art will assist in this program. Engagements for Adult family members will also be provided in technology, and financial literacy.

We are currently accepting applications for our 2017 – 2018 Afterschool Program. The after-school program operates 160 days at five days per week. Monday – Friday from 3:35 PM – 6:35 PM. Parents are able to pick up an application at the Open House on August 18, 2017 for students who are new to the Bears Den Program.
